Riftbound rarities

Six tiers across 1,290 printings. Rarity decides how often a card comes out of a pack, and that scarcity is what the market prices.

Rarity is how often a printing appears in packs, and on this site it is also the single best predictor of price: the scale runs from Common up through Showcase, and value climbs far faster than scarcity does.

Questions about rarities

What are the Riftbound card rarities?

Six: Showcase, Rare, Epic, Promo, Common, Uncommon. Promo sits outside the pack rarities and covers organised-play and launch printings, which is why it does not fit neatly on the scale.

Which rarity is worth the most?

Showcase. It is 10.23% of the printings we track and 72.59% of what the catalog is worth, averaging $429.83 a card. No other rarity comes close on either measure.

Are common Riftbound cards worth anything?

Very little individually. Rare is the biggest group at 326 printings with a median of $0.034, so a bulk pile is worth its postage rather than its card count. The value sits in the insert printings.
